Purpose of the Journal.
Open to all students from any high school, CEGEP, or university worldwide, the Marianopolis Journal of Global Affairs will publish biweekly issues, addressing three relevant global topics: one political, one economic, and one social.
Our publication aims to foster a deeper understanding of the complex international climate for our readers and inspire them to think more critically.
As the Journal expands, more events, such as in-person discussions promoting meaningful dialogue, will be held.

In its mission to promote global understanding for its readers, the Journal outlines its defining values, expressed through 5 core pillars.
Not simply a newspaper.
The Marianopolis Journal of Global Affairs is not a conventional daily newspaper. Our publications do not serve as a recount of news stories, but rather as a lunchpad for incentivizing critical thinking in international affairs. We encourage interested readers to supplement their reading of the Journal with external newspapers.
Macro-level analysis.
The content of each publication will be analyzed with a macro-level lens, usually in the context of a global trend. Seeking to explain the broad patterns of behaviour of state and non-state actors, the Journal provides content that serves as an easy entry point into developing a holistic understanding of our interconnected world.
Accessibility.
At the core of the Journal’s purpose is to provide content and disseminate knowledge in a way that is both digestible and inspiring, particularly for those who are not specialists in the field of international politics. Our publications, available at no cost, aim to be easily comprehensible to all readers, regardless of their skill level, and to leave them with something uniquely valuable.
Non-Partisan.
The goal of the journal is to inspire thoughtful and responsible questioning of our preexisting notions about how the world works. Publications will not take a particular stance on political, economic, or social issues, nor will they endorse the actions of any nation or leader, or any ideology. That responsibility rests on the reader.
Academic.
The Journal is an academic club officially registered with Marianopolis College. We commit to conducting research using ethical and responsible methods, respecting all norms of academic honesty and intellectual integrity.
